“Clear and Bright” is the term applied to a fuel test sample taken in a colourless glass jar. It means that the fuel is completely free of visible solid contamination and water. The sample must also possess an inherent brilliance and sparkle in the presence of light, otherwise cloudy or hazy fuel is caused, usually, by free and dispersed water but it can also occur because of finely divided dirt particles.
